About Siberians
Siberian Cats are medium-large, fluffy friendly cats with the added advantage of being naturally low in the protein FelD1 - which makes them hypo-allergenic.
They’re an active and playful breed, enjoying games like fetch and learning tricks that stimulate them mentally. A bit like the Labradors of the cat world, they love their humans and are rarely shy with visitors. Siberians are robust sturdy cats, whose relaxed and friendly nature make them perfect for families with children.
As the name suggests, Siberian cats originate from Russia, and while there are quite a few breeders in the UK, many of them import new bloodlines from Russia regularly. Adapted for snowy conditions, they have very a very thick, long coat, with tufty fur in their ears and between their toe-beans. They are athletic climbers and keen hunters who enjoy access to outdoor space when they can get it, however are not always the most "street-savvy" and many owners and breeders choose to keep them inside for this reason.
